    This DVD was worth its price. It starts with Charles Babbage’s difference engine that could calculate six figures or less. It shows how IBM was launched with a punch-card counting machine built to speed the 1890 census and why they switched to magnetic tape for backup. ENIAC, a WWII computer is discussed as well as the fist commercial computer mainframe UNIVAC. An insight of how the space race and Intel developed the first programmable IC (Integrated Circuit)caused minituration of computer components. Briefly Steve Jobs and Bill Gates are discussed at the end which lead to the beginning of the Personal Computer (PC). Xerox Park is also discussed as the innovators of the Graphic User Interface (GUI).
